How to Restore the Address toolbar in Windows XP SP3?

If you're new here, check out tips and trick, free stuff in here, software, ebook, and discount voucher, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed, so you miss it. Thanks for visiting!

Normally docked on the Windows XP Task bar, the Address toolbar provides a convenient navigation alternative to the mouse. Enter a network or local folder path, and Explorer takes you there. Enter a URL, and your default Web browser opens the page.

Unfortunately, Microsoft removed the Address toolbar with Windows XP Service Pack 3. According to posts in the Microsoft KnowledgeBase article, the company made the change “in response to an issue that was raised by a regulatory agency.”

We can assume that Microsoft was concerned the Address toolbar would run afoul of the company’s antitrust settlement with the European Union. But fear not. If you’re frustrated by Microsoft’s elimination of the Address toolbar, you can get it back with a simple hack.

Battle Between Vista vs XP which one would you choose?

I came across PC authority website and they do a survey comparing between Vista and XP, which one is better and is it worth that you upgrade from XP to vista?

Heres the conclusion from them:

So is Vista ultimately worth the upgrade from XP? It’s difficult to justify the expense of upgrading your current PC to Vista unless you’re a real enthusiast – in which case you probably already have. Nor is there a desperate need to buy a new system, as there’s little you can do in Vista that you can’t already do in XP. However, if it’s time to buy a new PC or notebook, Vista is a better OS than XP (although businesses should still tread with caution).

The good news is that, if history is anything to go by, the next version of Windows is set to be a better. And if the rumoured timelines are correct, we could be seeing Windows 7 in 2009.
