Big Money On Blogging

car advice

Hi All, recently Yaro Starak interviewed his previous student, Alborz Fallah, who is the owner of
caradvice.com.au - a car blog for Australians, which was valued at $5 million dollars and generates close to $50,000 a month.

Alborz started his blog like most people, sitting at home, writing content each day outside of the time he spent at his full time job. His blog grew, he started making money and he just kept working.

Eventually he was approached by people who wanted to buy his blog. He said no, until someone came along who only wanted to buy a share in the site and help it continue to grow. Alborz agreed and his blog immediately went from part time hobby, to full time business.

In this interview you can hear Alborz talk about how he grew his traffic, how he brought on
investors to help grow his site and what’s it like being in charge of a multi-million dollar
blog.

It’s worth listening to this interview because you can learn some key things to help with your own quest to make a profitable blog, for example -

- How Alborz chose the topic for his blog is a great lesson for anyone else out there struggling to come up with a blog topic

- The search engine advice Alborz offers is powerful yet simple and will immediately help your
own blog get more traffic, if you follow it

- The story of how investors came on board to take Car Advice to the next level is unique, but
definitely worth hearing because it shows how you can grow a blog from just making a few hundred
dollars, to making six or seven figures a year.

The interview is available for instant download in MP3 or text transcript.

copter
Hi guys, check it out this cool gadgets from ThinkGeek it’s mini size the MX-1 has a top blade that’s 30% smaller than even the smallest of R/C helicopters. This means the blade has to spin very fast to keep the copter in the air and it seems almost like a tiny hovering robotic insect. The MX-1 is a sharp looking little copter and it has a redesigned remote with smooth slider like controls. Dock the copter in the clear bay at the bottom and charge it up at the same time. How to Manage your Contacts in Gmail?

email contactHave you check out the new Contact Manager on Gmail? Gmail crew have a brilliant idea to manage your contacts effectively, So what have they done? they split your contact into 2 groups: 1. “MY Contacts” and 2. “Suggested Contacts”

My Contacts contains the contacts you explicitly put in your address book (via manual entry, import or sync) as well as any address you’ve emailed a lot (we’re using five or more times as the threshold for now).

Suggested Contacts is where Gmail puts its auto-created contacts. By default, Suggested Contacts you email frequently are automatically added to My Contacts, but for those of you who prefer tighter control of your address books, you can choose to disable usage-based addition of contacts to My Contacts (see the checkbox in the screenshot above). Once you do this, no matter how many times you email an auto-added email address it won’t move to My Contacts.

Its a simple solution and yet it works well.

How To Fax From Computer Using Windows XP

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Recently I got a client list and I need to send fax to them about some seminar, but the problem is I have around 100 list and it kind of lazy to fax it one by one…. :P . I know I am a Lazy person, thats why I am thinking How to automate this? it would be fun if you only need to press one button to send all the fax.

Then I remember that when I bought Dial-up Modem it said Modem and Fax (something like that.. I forgot) then I found on Google how to do it using Windows XP…. so what you have to do?

1. You need to have a dial-up modem the cheap one will do.

2. Install the modem driver into your modem

3. Setting Up and Configuring Windows XP Fax. The fax service isn’t automatically installed in Windows XP. To install the fax component:
a. Open Control Panel, and click Add or Remove Programs.

b. Click Add/Remove Windows Components. Select the Fax Services check box, and then click Next. The Windows Component Wizard takes care of the rest.

Note: If you don’t have a modem already installed, take care of that now. Make sure the modem is connected to a phone line and the phone line is connected to a working jack. (You’d be surprised how often folks overlook these details.)

Duplicate Post Checker Wordpress Plugin

Wordpress Plugin Hi All, I just received an email from MaxBlogPress about their new plugin called DPC (Duplicate Post Checker) as its name this plugin is use for checking whether we have the duplicate post or not in our blog, As you know in this blog (askax.net) I always post motivational quotes every weeks and I need to make sure that I haven’t wrote the quotes twice in this blog.

Its okay not to have this plugin when you start blogging, but as you go and you have more than 100 post you really need this one to check and also to link to the old blog post if you wrote the new one. Pawan Agrawal have done a great job creating his plugin and I recommend to WP bloggers to install this plugin, its really simple and handy to use.

You can view the screenshot and download the plugin here.
