Battle Between Vista vs XP which one would you choose? May 7

I came across PC authority website and they do a survey comparing between Vista and XP, which one is better and is it worth that you upgrade from XP to vista?
Heres the conclusion from them:
So is Vista ultimately worth the upgrade from XP? It’s difficult to justify the expense of upgrading your current PC to Vista unless you’re a real enthusiast – in which case you probably already have. Nor is there a desperate need to buy a new system, as there’s little you can do in Vista that you can’t already do in XP. However, if it’s time to buy a new PC or notebook, Vista is a better OS than XP (although businesses should still tread with caution).
The good news is that, if history is anything to go by, the next version of Windows is set to be a better. And if the rumoured timelines are correct, we could be seeing Windows 7 in 2009.

I would go for XP…coz i have just 256 MB RAM and even then XP runs fine…
moreover i have seen my friends suffer with vista slow operation even in 1 GB RAM

I agree with Rasterbator, XP because of the memory issue. I even splurged and got my memory on my new laptop and the Vista that came on it is dragging it down terribly!
I can boot a 4 year old XP laptop at the same time as the brand spanking new Vista laptop and the XP beats it easily everytime on boot up and performs much better.

People always say to stick with xp over vista…but it’s going to be harder to get new compys still with xp!

I agree with the memory issue, although I have Vista now for a year, and have gotten used to it. My solution was to upgrade RAM to 1Gig.

Vista is good… (Only When SP2 been released for vista lol…) anyway keep using XP until it comes…. its really worth to wait.
Or else You can buy Vista and get an XP for free (read on my other post about it) and put Dual boot in your PC….

I use Vista on my desktop with 2GB RAM and core 2 duo processor.
Vista is much much better than XP.
It works nicely.

Windows 7 in 2009? The lifespan of new software is ridiculously to short. I wish they would have just spent time perfecting XP.
