Google just update the Calendar Sync, so we can view and update from our desktop application (outlook). Last time I use Vista Calendar application to synchronize with Google calendar and its only 1 way-sync which only grab the schedule from Google calendar to Vista Calendar. If we can use 2 way synchronization between offline application and Online Google calendar, it Gonna become  the best Calendar Organizer and Google listen to our Feedback.  Great Job guys :D

Which Internet Web Browser That Run Small Memory?

Have you ever compare between web browser and see which browser that have the smallest memory usage for their operation?

Recently I reinstall new windows on my desktop and I try to test between 4 web browser (IE 7, Fire Fox, Opera and Safari) to see which browser that run the smallest memory,  so this way I can set which one is my default browser.

so how do I test them?

1.  I install four browser freshly without any add-ons or plugins.
2.  I put the same load for each browser
3.  Monitor the memory change

Testing Environment on Windows XP with the latest update.

And heres the result:

Opera has the lowest memory usage followed by Internet Explorer 7, Safari and Firefox.

I already have a feeling that opera will be the light one as I feel it when I use it, but I was surprise to see that firefox have the biggest memory usage than all 3 browser, and the different is huge its like around 30,000 K different, I thought that IE is the one who use the highest memory, but not.  So now I set Opera as my default browser, even tough I still use all those 3 browser to check my web design layout.

8 (Eight) Simple Way To Build Your Online Professional Image

personal online brand

I found some good tips on U.S. News & World Report’s Web site for the eight best ways to buff your professional image. So, put on your PR hat and take notes. Here’s the synopsis:

1. Google yourself. You should Google your name to see what others will see if they do the same.

2. Choose the right professional name. If you have a common name, like John Smith, you can start differentiating yourself by adding a middle initial every time you refer to yourself online. My name was pretty rare in English World so I still use 2 word name Andika Kusuma.

3. Use credentials consistently. Be sure to add all MCSEs and CCNAs to your résumé, bio, business card, and so on, and do so consistently.

4. Create public profiles. Youcan use the social bookmarking like friendter and facebook for you personal branding

5. Build a Web site. You can make a blog in blogspot or wordpress or with your own domain, This is a good idea if you do a lot of public speaking or technical writing.

6. Create links. Links is important for online networking. Search Engine can list your site higher if you have many links that link to your website.

7. Become an expert. Gunn recommends that you start your own blog or contribute to others. I was feeling kind of ahead of the game until she added this part: “Be insightful and thought provoking (without burning bridges). Be smart, and keep within the bounds of good taste.” (I think that ship may already have sailed for me.)

8. Push the bad stuff out of sight. Yes this is the most important one…. You hirer don’t want to see you in bad shape.

Think of yourself as your own PR staff. If you have a lot of career accomplishments under your belt, now is the time to make sure the word gets out.

Don’t Delete Your Email on Google, Archive it

Do you have Gmail Account? if yes, then you may need to Archive only….. not delete.

WHY? Google explain it why you must archive it here.

Actually I almost never visit gmail at home because I download all my email to my computer, and I use Gmail as my email based (I redirect all my email from yahoo, hotmail and other to gmail) its easier to manage when you have it all in one account and filter it using your email client.
