Creating a Positive Attitude to Achieve Positive Results by Mark Victor Hansen
Your attitude determines the state of world you live in. It is the foundation for every success and every failure you have had and will have. Your attitude will make you or break you.

Attitude creates the way you feel about people and situations. Your actions are a result of your attitude, which, in turn, creates a reaction from others. So, basically, what you think … you get. It is your attitude toward others and the Universe that determines the resultant attitude toward you. Incorporate a positive, joyful attitude and you’ll have positive, joyful results. Put out a bad, negative attitude and you’ve failed before you begin.

I know it sounds simple, but the truth is….it IS simple!

How to make 301 redirects

301 redirect is use when you want to redirect the user from the old page to the new page, this redirect is search engine friendly way to divert a user. If your server is unix server you can use .htaccess file to do 301 redirect, if you don’t have it just create the text file and rename it into .htaccess

In .htaccess file put the following line code;

redirect 301 <old adress> http://www.yourdomain.com/<new address>

for example:

redirect 301 /folder/oldfile.htm http://www.yourdomain.com/folder/newfile.htm

Notice that http:// is not use when describing the old page, If you have more than 1 page the create seperate line for each of the page. When you’re done, save the file back to your server.

How to Prevent Email Harvesting

As you know that spammer bot crawler scan your email address through various way if you put your email address in the web page, some people put their email address in web page using image or separate the letter @ on the email such as askax [at] askax.net, but I found a good website generator to create a javacript that prevent the crawler to get your email address.

The way they protect your email address is encoding your email address and place it into JavaScript routine.

The routine encodes the email address as a series of ASCII characters. It shows up just fine in your web page but is nonsense to most programs that crawl the web and harvest the email address.

Here’s how…

  1. Go to www.u.arizona.edu/~trw/spam/spam.htm
  2. enter your email address
  3. copy and paste the Javascript fragment into your page using the code insertion tool in your Web Software.

3 Keys to Greatness For Teenagers and Adults

Three Keys to Greatness by Jim Rohn

Several years ago I went into the studio and recorded a 56-minute video for teenagers called “Three Keys To Greatness.” Although my focus was for teenagers, the principles I shared certainly apply to adults as well.

Recently I was asked to list these three things using one to two sentences for each. Now for your benefit here they are again.

  1. Setting Goals. I call it the view of the future. Most people, including kids, will pay the price if they can see the promise of the future. So we need to help our kids see a well-defined future, so they will be motivated to pay the price today to attain the rewards of tomorrow. Goals help them do this.
  2. Personal Development. Simply making consistent investments in our self-education and knowledge banks pays major dividends throughout our lives. I suggest having a minimum amount of time set aside for reading books, listening to audiocassettes, attending seminars, keeping a journal and spending time with other successful people. Charlie “Tremendous’ Jones says you will be in five years the sum total of the books you read and the people you are around.
  3. Financial Planning. I call it the 70/30 plan. After receiving your paycheck or paying yourself, simply setting aside 10% for saving, 10% for investing and 10% for giving, and over time this will guarantee financial independence for a teenager.

If a young person, or for that matter an adult, focused on doing these three simple things over a long period of time I believe they will be assured success!

The Key to Making Life Unique and Worthwhile

The Key to Making Life Unique and Worthwhile by Jim Rohn

Now the key to make life really unique and worthwhile is to share. Sharing has a certain unique magic of its own. Here’s what I learned in sharing ideas.

If you share an idea with ten different people, they get to hear it once, and you get to hear it ten times. So here’s part of self-interest for yourself, getting you even better prepared for the future. Share ideas. Share with your family, share with the people around you, share with other employees, share with your colleagues.

Because by sharing, two things happen. Here’s what we call it. I don’t know how to explain it, but I do know it happens. And I don’t know all about how it happens or why it happens, it just happens.

When one person shares with another, two things happen. The audience could be transformed, and so could the speaker. If you share with someone else, they could be transformed. You may have dropped in at the right time. This may be their moment. They’ve got three numbers dialed into the lock already, and if you say it well and say it right you’ll be the fourth number that they can dial into the lock of their personal experience and the door will come open and there’s opportunity they never saw before. The person who hears could be transformed.

But here’s what else is exciting. The person who speaks could be transformed. Guess what we’re all looking for…transformation for our new life. The new life tomorrow, the new life this month, the new life next year, the new life this year.

The caterpillar one day says, “I think I was made for more than this crawling on the ground.” So the caterpillar climbs the tree, attaches himself to a leaf and spins the cocoon. Who knows what disciplined effort it takes to spin a cocoon. But something inside the caterpillar says, “I was designed for something more than being just a caterpillar.”

And then when the cocoon is ready and it opens up, out comes a butterfly that flies away, maybe singing, “I believe I can fly! I believe I can touch the sky! I used to be a caterpillar on the ground, now I fly.”

I’m asking you to go through such a metamorphosis. I’m asking you often to go through a period where you say, “New skills, new things are waiting for me,” and part of this will come if you’ll translate for other people what you feel in your heart and in your soul. As awkward as your language might be at first, don’t hesitate to do it.

Here’s what sharing does… Read More…
