Today is public holiday in Brisbane for Ekka Show, So I am not working at the office and I feel like want to do some experiment to increase my Page Rank, its been a while since I am doing many experiment back then, today I will use DoFollow Comment blog to increase my Page Rank on Next update. I found the list of blog that have a DoFollow plugin installed in their blog from Digerati Marketing, he list 160 blogs include the category and Page Rank for that blog, looks pretty good source for me.
So what I am gonna do here? I will spent today to post a comment to this all blog (hopefully) and see will it increase my page rank or any other rank for my blog. I will post a report when Google update their Page Rank, I put my current page rank on screen shot and I will compare it later.
Just wondering have anyone of you did this before? if yes how was the result?

There is a name for this. It is called link spamming. If you post just for the sake of increasing your rank, without caring about the content of the site you’re commenting on, then it’s spam.

yes you’re right, but I wont spam in there.. as I only comment the post that I like and I only comment that match with the post topic
Anyway this experiment is good thing as I get to know more blogger that I never seen before.
So far only 5 blogs out of 160 that I comment… so I wont call it link spamming
. And also if I like most of his/her post I will subscribes into their feeds

I do this a lot. I go blog hunting sometimes and I always comment on the post that I like. There are a lot of people that think that this is spamming but if you really want to know what spamming is, you should have taken a look at my blog before I set the moderate comments up. I had a comment by five different people that all went to the same site that said, all though I do not agree with you 100%, now this is spamming. I don’t think that it is a bad idea. If you want to visit and comment on my blog, I will happily except you. I am also a do-follow. I only delete comments that are stupid or don’t make any sense.

Just make sure they’re meaningful comments or Google might just consider them spamming.

Hi, I still cannot find an answer to these dofollow comments. Blog has PR 2, but after you click comments, then PR is n/a and no PR for you site, right? Only backlink by Yahoo, right?

yes you have the point for that Alex, but it still count for the Google and other search engine back link (without PR).
Probably you can comment to the post that have Page Rank for the quality Backlink.

Well, I noticed, that after you click comments, to URL is added /#comments, so even if the article itself has PR, then your comment would have none. Right?
And these images for word verification you have here are somewhat unreadable even by humans

I don’t think it’s spamming if you make a reasonably relevant comment. If the blog has and list of the 10 most recent comments (like mine) in the sidebar it’ll give you a good backlink?

I personally don’t use the nofollow settings on my blog either, I find it encouraging to roaming visitors that wouldn’t visit otherwise. Helps raise blog stats on community blogs as well.

If you like any blog post, you can make comment on the post. No matter blog is do follow or no follow. you can not say it is spamming.

There are two type of pagerank: domain PR and page PR. If you can see the main URL has high PR, it doesn’t mean every page under this domain will share the same PR.
When commenting on a dofollow blog, I tend to find dofollow blog with high page PR as it will boast my PR later.
Leaving a good comment should not be considered as spamming as readers had spent time reading the post prior to posting.
The way you do it here is too time consuming. There is a faster way to find high PR and leave constructive comment. Read my post here:

Is commenting on blog increases the page rank? Well I always though that comments on the blogs are written if we like certain post. If I like some post I leave my remarks.

I generally think it is a good idea - after all what is a post without comments. You can always use moderation to get rid of ones that are clearly spammy or which lead to a nasty web site. In the end the internet is built on links - so if comments are a way of making a link between sites and introducing them to each other then I’m all for it. I found this site by clicking a link from another. Thats just how it works.

It really works. You have to do some hard work in finding blogs with both pr and nofollow. But once you get a list ready it gives noticable results in SERPS. I have seen it and worked for it. But spamming will not get you anywhere. Only relevant comments should me made. Thanks.

If you leave keywords in the post, relative to the blog, I think that it benefits the blog. Such as leaving a post about page rank, which seems to be the targeted keywords of this page.
That’s my two cents!

I am not sure if putting a comments in DoFollow blogs will increase web page rank. But it is worth to try then. For commentators, a good thing is to put relevant and constructive comment.

I have a couple of free tools that I use for this purpose (the link to them is the URL of my name). They check the inner pagerank of pages on a blog and you can go and comment on the high pagerank posts there.
