I remember when I start blogging I look at people blog and see the trackback in the bottom of their post and it mixed with the comment, and I start to wonder how do I do that? I have no idea at that time as I just start using Wordpress as my blog engine. so why do you need to make a trackback?. Trackback is used to tell the other blog that you link in your post, basically it just said “Hey your post is useful and put it on my blog“, rather than commenting to that specific post that you include them in your post.

Ok now lets start to make a trackbacks

1. You link to post that you want to trackback, for example I link this my post here the link is http://askax.net/2007/04/05/using-keyword-on-your-post-title-to-rank- top-on-google-search/
2. Put the above link into trackback column, you maybe not even notice is because you’re new with Wordpress (like me last time ). It just down under where you write your post, its the third one if you can’t see it than maybe it on minimize mode. Look at the screenshot for details. If you have multiple link to tracback you anly need to put space between the link and it will automatically track all of them
3. Then you just need to publish your post, thats it you already trackback that post. You can go on to that specific post to see the result.

I make this tutorial for reference for my self as last time I’ve been searching on Google How to make a trackback, and never got the answer for it. Hope it useful for you ( The Wordpress Newbie )
