Why send an E-mail, when you can send a ME-mail?

Let me start by setting up the scene. Your interview went fantastic! The research you did on the company was well worth the time and effort. All questions were answered properly and with confidence. The clothes you were wearing looked great. In your heart, you know you “nailed” this interview. Now, it’s time to shake hands and trade the obligatory “thanks you” and “I look forwards”. he parting statement from your interviewer went something like this. “It was a pleasure meeting you. I have several more candidates to interview before we can make a decision. I will be in touch as soon as possible to let you know”. As you walk away you find yourself going over that last statement. He said “it was a pleasure meeting you.” It sure must have been because you know you nailed that interview!

But wait.
What else did he say? Did he say he has “several more interviews”!
Could it be? Oh no, competition! Insecurity starts to creep in.
