“NOT FOLLOWING UP!”
Another way of saying it…
“FOLLOW UP EVERYTHING!”
Look, it’s simple math. When you follow up every lead,
contact, and job opportunity you are mathematically
DOUBLING your chances of getting called for the job
interview and ultimately landing the job.
Send a follow up cover letter and resume every time. Use
“snail mail,” email, pick up the telephone and make a
phone call, do whatever you gotta do to get YOUR foot
in the company door. Get creative and follow up.
Nothing happens until YOUR phone rings for the job
interview. Nothing.

Don’t worry about offending someone with your persistence.
If that happens, chances are you wouldn’t want to work
there anyway. Just move on with a smile and say, “next.”
Remember, the best resume doesn’t usually win the job.
Persistence, passion and follow up are much more
important.
Employers love and hire those who want it the most.
